About Dr. Paveloff

Dr. Michael Paveloff is a Board-Certified ophthalmologist and has provided eye care to Santa Barbara and the surrounding communities for over 25 years. He received his Bachelor of Science Degree with honors from the University of California, Irvine and his Medical Degree form Rush Medical College in Chicago.

Dr. Paveloff completed his internship at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and his residency in ophthalmology at the University of Chicago. During his residency, he was honored with the prestigious Harvey Z. Klein Award for Excellence in PatientCare.

Dr. Paveloff was one of the first surgeons in the Tri-Counties to perform LASIK and was recently selected as one of the TOP 100 LASIK Surgeons in the United States by LaserVision. He makes the best visual outcomes possible for his patients by combining years of experience with the very latest in vision correction technology. Dr. Paveloff utilizes bladeless, all-laser LASIK technology with the IntraLase and VISX Star S4 IRLasers, making the procedure safer and more precise than ever. As one of the nation’s premier LASIK surgeons, Dr. Paveloff continues to be involved in the latest advancements and techniques of LASIK laser vision correction.

A leading innovator in cataract surgery, Dr. Paveloff was the first surgeon in Santa Barbara to implant the ReSTOR multifocal lens and the PanOptix Trifocal IOL. He offers the latest in multifocal, presbyopia correcting, and extended depth of focus lenses and is a frequent guest speaker on the advancements in cataract surgery.

As Medical Director of the Santa Barbara Vision Care Program and board member of SEE International for over 15 years, Dr. Paveloff contributes his time and energy to perform cataract surgery locally and in underprivileged countries around the world. Countless numbers of patients have regained their vision through the concerted efforts of SEE International and Dr. Paveloff.

An active participant in several charitable organizations, Dr. Paveloff also volunteers his time to the Liberty Program performing laser tattoo removal. This program gives individuals the opportunity to turn their lives around and have anti-social tattoos removed in exchange for community service.

Born and raised in the Los Angeles area, Dr. Paveloff now dedicates his life to his wife, two daughters and son, and the Santa Barbara community.
